How it works

At Shustoke Farm Barns we buy only the best raw materials, regardless of cost (sorry, accountants!), we then hand them over to Head Chef who will deliver them to you, precisely cooked and served with the simplicity that such fine ingredients deserve.

Our food is prepared and cooked either on our 8-spit rotisserie, on our huge BBQ or with our own Smoker.

We are known for our whole BBQ’d lambs, sirloin steak bricks or butterflied legs of lamb. Alternatively you can choose from our Rotisserie options including chicken with a cream and tarragon sauce, whole suckling pig with roast apples or even Gressingham duck with wine & blackcurrant sauce.  We only use the best ingredients and serve it simply in a feast style on boards and in bowls to the centre of the tables.

Minimum Catering Order

At Shustoke Farm Barn we have a minimum catering order on specific dates, as follows;

  • Fridays between 1st May to 30th September – £4,000 ex VAT
  • Saturdays between 1st May to 30th September – £5,000 ex VAT
  • Saturdays between 1st October and 30th April – £3,000 ex VAT

All minimum costs are excluding drink sales.

This will be calculated at the end of your quote and a balancing amount added to bring the Catering cost to the minimum value.

There is no minimum spend if the barn hire is under £2800 at any time of year. This does not apply to dates when the barn hire is discounted.

Staffing Costs

These are shown separately rather than being included in the meal costs, which is difficult to do with an extended event like an all-day wedding.  On your quote you will see the projected staff numbers and hours.

Hi all, Following on from our last email I just wanted to reiterate our thanks to you all and provide some feedback that we are more than happy for you to use if you wish to! The planning meetings were really helpful and you quickly accommodated any requests that we had or made suggestions for alternatives. I had found quite a few alternative ideas from Pinterest but nothing seemed to be a challenge to any of you. The menu was the most difficult decision as everything looked fantastic. We chose the steak bricks and had a carver on each table which worked really well and our guests loved that twist to the wedding breakfast! You were always very quick on replying to emails too and coped perfectly with all of our last minute changes and dietary requirement requests! We cannot thank you enough. Shustoke is such a beautiful wedding venue already but seeing it complete with centre pieces and flowers in the entrance hall was stunning. We had such a fantastic team of staff working on the day who were all on hand to help. I am so happy that the weather was good so we could use the courtyard and smell our wedding breakfast being cooked outside! Please pass on our thanks to Baz and Fred too - the pizzas went down a storm. Thank you again and to anyone thinking of getting married at this venue we really cannot recommend it highly enough!
